Law enforcement agents and the Mexican Consulate’s Office in Eagle Pass were notified on Sunday, October 29, by US Border Patrol agents that human remains had been discovered in a desolate area within Comanche Ranch, about 22 miles from town. 

Human remains were found at the Whitehead Ranch on Monday, January 30. The remains were found by a ranch worker who then contacted the Border Patrol, and later, the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department, said Sheriff Tom Schmerber.
